Any changes made after you have placed an order will not affect that order unless we are required to make that change by law, in which case such change is deemed to be incorporated into these Terms and Conditions. The headings below are used for convenience and shall not affect the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions.

Buying Policy

We must receive payment of the whole of the price for the goods that you order before your order can be accepted. Once payment has been received by us we will confirm that your order has been accepted by sending an email to you at the email address you provide in your order form. Our acceptance of your order brings into existence a legally binding contract between us. All contracts are made and shall be conducted in the English language.

Pricing and VAT Policy

Prices shown on the website are in British Pounds Sterling (£) and are inclusive of VAT at the applicable rate. All prices and offers remain valid as advertised from time to time. If you are a customer whose credit/debit card is not denominated in British Pounds Sterling, the final price may be calculated in accordance with the applicable exchange rate on the day your card issuer processes the transaction.

All Product prices shown on our website are inclusive of any applicable UK VAT. This means that the total price you pay for the product/s is always the same, regardless of whether or not UK VAT is chargeable on our sale of the product.

Orders and Payments

All orders are subject to acceptance and availability, and items in your shopping bag are not reserved and may be purchased by other customers. Once you have made your choice and your order and purchase has been made, you will receive an email acknowledging the details of your order. This email is not an acceptance of your order, just a confirmation that we have received it. Unless you cancel your order, acceptance of your order and completion of the contract between you and Sebastian and Millicent will be completed when we email you to confirm the goods have been dispatched. We reserve the right not to accept your order in the event, for example, that the item ordered is out of stock or does not satisfy our quality control standards and is withdrawn. In the unlikely event that this happens you will be refunded.

Payment will be debited and cleared from your account at the time of your order. You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorised by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it. All credit/debit cardholders are subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment to us, you will not be able to place the order. To avoid delays to your order, please ensure that your billing address matches the address on your card statement, and that the cardholder's name is written exactly as it appears on the card. Please also ensure that your contact details are filled in accurately so that we can contact you if necessary.

All credit/debit card transactions are processed through our payment partner SagePay, a secure online payment gateway that encrypts your card details in a secure host environment. Sebastian and Millicent does not store any of your credit/debit card details on our systems.

Bespoke, Couture (made to measure) and Seamstress Services

At Sebastian and Millicent we are committed to selling high quality products that we hope you’ll fall in love with and enjoy. Our range of Couture and Bespoke Services give you the opportunity to choose items from our range and have them specially customised in your choice of colour and fabric and/or to your exact measurements, or to have totally bespoke items made for you.

Full payment is required for all Couture and Bespoke items when orders are placed. In the event where a deposit is placed to secure an order, the remaining payment may be required either before work is started, or before goods are dispatched.

As all items purchased in this way are customised specifically for you, a 50% deposit will be retained on any orders that are cancelled and it is not possible to change any orders once work has started on them or to return items after purchase.

With this in mind, we ask you to please make sure that you check all items you order carefully before you place an order for Couture and Bespoke items as placing an order online constitutes acceptance of these conditions for that order. We may also ask you to approve any orders you agree with us in writing, especially if you order from us in a face to face or phone consultation.  We also recommend that you keep your receipt or order number as you might need it as proof of purchase in the event of any after-sales queries.

After you have pad for your order we may send out a swatch book or sample fabrics or designs for you to approve before work starts on your order. In this instance, work will not start until those items are returned to us and the order is approved by you. Should those items not be returned or the order not be approved then the 50% deposit will be retained.

We are sure you will understand that we unfortunately cannot take responsibility for customer generated mistakes, (incorrect choice of size, colour, fabric or incorrect measurements given for example) or other ordering errors. To prevent these errors from happening, please review your order carefully before proceeding to payment.

We strive to ensure all items are delivered as specified. In the event that any Couture and Bespoke items are faulty, the faults will be rectified free of charge. Any problems with any part of a bespoke order must be reported to us within seven days of receipt. Please e-mail rachael@sebastianandmillicent.com who will contact you in regards to the fault and how to return the goods.

Bespoke goods which are delivered as described and are in good condition however will not be refunded. Please do not return these to us as we may have to charge you for re-posting bespoke goods returned to us in error, and we reserve the right to do this.

We will always strive to meet all quoted delivery timescales, however delivery timescales shall not be of the essence
